COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic

Our third dose COVID-19 booster vaccination clinic is scheduled to take place on Friday 15th of November 2021. The clinic will be offering the Pfizer vaccine and will only be vaccinating residents and staff that completed their primary vaccine course 6 months ago.

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) have recommended the ‘implementation of the national COVID-19 vaccine booster program, ATAGI supports the use of a single booster dose for those who completed their primary COVID-19 vaccine course ≥6 months ago. This will initially include, but not be limited to, the groups above who were prioritised in the rollout of the vaccine program from early 2021’.

While we have records of all residents vaccine consent forms from the primary vaccine course including dates the primary doses were received consent is again required for the third COVID-19 booster.  The link below is to the consent form that will need to be completed for the third Pfizer booster vaccination clinic.

COVID-19 third dose Full Consent Form (Pfizer)

If we haven’t already nursing staff will be in touch with each resident and primary contact to discuss the rollout of the third dose booster vaccination clinic in the coming days with the intent of collating completed consent forms for all eligible residents and staff by the 11th of November so as to ensure the aspen medical team have sufficient time to organise the resources required for the clinic.

The vaccination clinic’s from past experience will involve a lot of staff and residents moving about the home on the day. While we will have additional staff on during the day we ask that visitors are limited to primary support persons only on the 15th of November so as to ensure compliance with social distancing and other COVID safe practices in place at the home.  Thank you in advance for your understanding regarding this request.
